Located north of Perth, Westminster is an affluent suburb that continues to attract singles, families, and retirees. It is largely residential although settlers can expect to see an impressive number of recreational areas and industries. The residential suburb attracts single people, starting families, and retirees. Students cross to Westminster daily due to the large number of schooling options found within the suburb.
The Perth International Airport is located 16 km from the area. Warwick Station is just 3.5 km away. Perth’s CBD is an 11km-drive from the suburb. Reid Highway is dotted with cafes, shops, and local trades. It is bounded by Reid Highwayto the North, Wannero Road to the west, Ravenswood and Alexandra Drives at the southern and eastern boundaries, respectively.
Residents shop at the complexes along Vincent Avenue. Stirling Central along Rotherfield Road can also be found within Westminster.
Within the area residents will find Lake Karrinyup, which offers fishing and boating opportunities. Morning jogs and cycles can be enjoyed at Ted Cross Memorial and Robertsbridge Reserves, found along Rotherfield and Robertsbridge Road. Princess Wellington and Wythburn Radcliffe Reserves are great grounds for Balga Senior High’s games.
Located in the middle of the suburb, Wanneroo Road has several bus points. Path Transit’s Transperth Bus Routes serve the area. The routes pass through Westminster, Balga, and Balga Junior Primary Schools. St. Gerards School, John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School, and Swan Tafe Balga Campus can also be found within the area.
