SELLERS QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A. What influenced you to buy this property?

We had just back from living overseas and needed a place to live and hopefully make provision for retirement. We were looking for a spacious family home that did not need much money spent on it & had a real potential to subdivide sometime in the future. We also wanted a significant sized garden area.

Our house is really well built not requiring a significant amount of expensive upkeep. Heaps of storage space. Good sized rooms. Space both inside and out. Lots of room for visitors especially those requiring a bed. Our family are country people and frequently stayed with us while in Perth. We have also hosted a number of overseas visitors. Ease of access to public transport, 1 km from train station & bus stops are just up the road. Easy access to main traffic routes such as Roe, Tonkin & Albany Highways & Orrong Road. Easy access to Carousel Shopping Centre and Canning Leisure Centre. Several primary schools & Canning College close by. Heaps of rooms for pets of all sorts. Space for a decent vegetable patch without sacrificing flower garden room for real trees. Patio is great dry area in the wet weather and just perfect for Sunday breakfasts.

Inside: replaced solar hot water system with new, replaced old wood heater with gas heater, painted throughout inside. Plastered passage walls (was dark face brick.) added extra lighting in passage way & kitchen areas.new motors on remote doors of garage

Outside: replaced retaining wall with limestone retainer & colour bond fencing, replaced old wooden patio, ridge capping on roof redone & valleys maintained, all garden areas fully reticulated off bore, planted trees & shrubs, created garden beds, established lawns, installed chain link fence, removed 12 palm trees.

C. When family or friends visit you, what do they point out as the benefits of your home?

Always felt they & their kids were welcome both in the house & outside. Space for kids to run around & be safe while experiencing the outdoors. The games room was the designated toy room so even on the wettest day there was plenty of room for kids to do their thing’ without been in the way or afraid of breaking something. Kids loved playing with the chooks and seemed fascinated by the expanse of lawn Heaps of space for family get togethers especially at Christmas.
