Tuart Hill is a wonderful suburb so named because of the abundance of the Tuart tree in the area before extensive developments gave rise to its current urbanized state. Still, the suburb has plenty of areas of lush greenery plus 2 large active recreation reserves. Although residents have proposed change in name to Grenville, the proposal was eventually scrapped because of a similar name used in New South Wales, Granville. Today, the suburb is inhabited by families, young adults, and older retirees.
Tuart Hill is a beautiful suburb in Perth, just 8 km away from the CBD. This great location places it within minutes from the city’s key attractions and major shopping centers. A small but lovely suburb, Tuart Hill occupies 2.11 km2 of land, with a majority allocated as an active recreation reserve. The suburb is surrounded by Osborne Park, Mt. Hawthorn, Balcatta, Joondanna, Nollamara, and Yokine.
A number of wonderful amenities can be enjoyed by visitors and residents of Tuart Hill. Several schools cater to the needs of families with kids. These schools include Tuart College, Servite College, heritage-listed Tuart Hill Primary School, private St Kieran's Primary School, and public Tuart Hill Primary School.

Transport in Tuart Hill is provided by rental vehicles and some taxis. There are no direct bus routes heading to the suburb but these can be easily found in neighboring suburbs within 5 minutes away.
