A lovely suburb close to the heart of Perth, Victoria Park is a beautiful place to live in. A number of housing developments are created in the area to cater to the demand in real estate among families and workers, earning it a nickname as a “working man's district” in the 1930s. Still, an increase in elderly population beginning in the 1970s slowly erased the moniker from the suburb. Plenty of apartment blocks can be found across the suburb.
Victoria Park boasts of a wonderful location just a few minutes southeast from the heart of the city. Perth CBD is just 3 km away, allowing residents and visitors to have easy access to many of its landmarks and business establishments. The suburb, though, is quite small, only covering an area of 2.6 km2.
